Smorgon is the first city in the Grodno region, which appeared in the mobile application "My City (Belarus)". Now the digital platform is successfully operating in all regions of Belarus and is gaining more and more popularity.
Only a year and a half after the start of the project in Polotsk, it was installed by more than 30 thousand users in 11 cities! It should be noted that the number of downloads is constantly growing and this result is natural. Using a mobile application, citizens get a modern way of communication that allows them to save time and comfortably solve many daily tasks.
The implementation of the smart city concept in Smorgon was initiated by the Smorgon Regional Executive Committee.

- Smorgon is a city with a rich history. The first written mention of it dates back to 1503. The past centuries have left deep scars on our land. Smorgonshchina was the area of the most severe confrontation on the Russian-German front during the First World War, which turned the city into ruins. Our native land was not spared by the Second World War, which claimed the lives of thousands of our countrymen.
Despite everything, through the storms of hard times, we managed to preserve a rich spiritual and material heritage.
Today, guests of the Smorgon region can appreciate our heritage, represented by the Kreva Castle, the estates of Oginsky and Bogushevich, ancient churches.
One can talk endlessly about historical events and people of the Smorgon region. But one thing can be said with certainty: today the Smorgon region is developing dynamically. We have much to be proud of. Our district has repeatedly emerged as the winner of competitions in the region and the republic.
Smorgon is an investment-attractive city with good opportunities for the development of industry, business, and the creation of new jobs. Talented, hard-working people who love their city live and work here. Smorgon has its own atmosphere. This is a city with modern microdistricts and developed infrastructure, beautiful streets and unique art objects.
I am convinced that the My City platform will help our city to present its potential more brightly and serve as a tool for comfortable interaction between residents and guests of Smorgon with the city infrastructure.
Almost all organizations structured by their activities are represented on the My City platform: city administration, education, health and sports, recreation and tourism. Important news, events of the city, promotions and discounts are published here, polls are conducted. Citizens can use the application to make an appointment at institutions, find out the opening hours of shops, banks and cafes, call an emergency team, schedule a visit to a clinic or book a table in a restaurant. You just need to install the application, which is available for download on AppStore and Google Play.
