The International Championship of High-Tech Professions “High-Tech 2022”, which was held from November 7 to 11 in Yekaterinburg, ended. The representatives of Beltelecom performed successfully and took the honorable 2nd place, slightly behind the winners!
This year, 600 contestants and 500 experts in 37 through and sectoral competencies took part in the competition. Our specialists, Oleg Grib and Alexey Kopytko, competed in the nomination “Backbone Lines. Construction and operation of FOTL”. 5 teams fought for the winning places: Roskosmos, Rostelecom, two teams of the Moscow GTS and we - Beltelecom.
The specialists started preparing for the competition well in advance, although they have extensive professional experience - they have repeatedly won prizes in regional and republican corporate competitions of professional skills. The head of the team, leading engineer of the telecommunication systems and networks operation department of RUE Beltelecom Vladimir Shaybak joined the group of the experts, evaluating the performance of the teams during the competition.
On the first day of the championship, the contestants performed the input control of four cables, designed circuits on a computer, compiled measurement protocols and mounted conditional lines. In the following days they mounted optical closures and cross-connects, performed control optical measurements of losses on welded connections, through attenuation and optical lengths.
Taking part in the international competition “Hi-tech 2022”, our technical specialists gained invaluable experience, which they will apply in the production processes at the enterprise. According to the participants, this competition became an important step in their professional activity. It allowed to exchange the best ideas, get acquainted with the achievements of colleagues from different countries and, of course, consolidate their knowledge.
