Radio, Television and Communications Workers Day is celebrated on May 7th in Belarus. On the eve of the professional celebration, the official events took place, the central one’s being the awarding of the best specialists.
On May 6th, an industry-specific festive meeting was held at the Republican Palace of Culture of Trade Unions. About 600 people gathered together, including managers, employees, trade union activists, and veterans of communications organizations. Kirill Zalessky, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, and Alexander Yakovlev, Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Digital Development and Communications Workers, congratulated all guests on the professional celebration.
On May 7th, an official event was held at Beltelecom. Aliaksandr Kenda, Director General of RUE Beltelecom, personally congratulated the workers and presented well-deserved rewards to the best employees.
“Nowadays, communications is not only a tool for staying in touch, but also a foundation for quality of life and a driver of all business processes”, – Aliaksandr Kenda emphasized. “Our technologies are integrated into all economic fields, creating a solid base for future innovations. Our goal is to be a reliable technological partner for every person, business and the state. All achievements of the enterprise are your energy, responsibility and readiness to work 24/7. I thank each of you for your sincere interest in our work and dedication to our profession!”
Special words of acknowledgement were said to the veterans of the enterprise. Director General also congratulated the team on the upcoming Victory Day, a great holiday that unites generations.
Andrei Hendzel, Chairman of the primary trade union organization of RUE Beltelecom, also congratulated everyone on the holiday, expressing gratitude to his colleagues for their high professionalism and proactive approach to life.
The highlight of the program was the awarding ceremony for the best employees. Three employees of the company were given the “Honored Telecom Specialist of Belarus” badge. Two communications specialists were awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, and eight received the Letter of Gratitude of the Minister. The names of three employees were inscribed in the Book of Honor of the enterprise. 23 employees were awarded the Certificate of Honor of RUE Beltelecom, and 45 team members received the Letter of Gratitude of the Director General. A special honor was the inclusion of 20 specialists of the company on the Board of Honor of RUE Beltelecom.
The team’s public merits were also acknowledged. A Trade Union Badge of Honor of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus and five merit badges of the Belarusian Trade Union of Digital Development and Communications Workers were awarded to the workers. Three employees were awarded with Letters of Gratitude and Certificates of Honor from their industry trade union; 13 employees received Letters of Gratitude, and 11 were awarded Certificates of Honor from the primary trade union organization of Beltelecom.
The event concluded with a vibrant celebration concert.
