Aleksei Ivashkin has been appointed to the position of General Director of the Republican Unitary Telecommunications Enterprise Beltelecom. On July 10, the Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Shulgan introduced the head to the team.
Konstantin Shulgan expressed confidence in the successful work of Aleksei Ivashkin in his new position, noting his fundamental education, technical knowledge, international experience and deep understanding of the industry development. The Minister also noted that today the company faces important tasks:
– Beltelecom shall become a multi-field operator, an integrator of digital solutions for the economy and the population, and actively develop new directions such as artificial intelligence, big data, smart city technologies, and mobile communications. All this is the basis for further development. I am convinced that the initiative of the management and the professionalism of the Beltelecom team will allow us to achieve all our goals, – concluded the head of the Ministry of Communications.
Aleksei Ivashkin, in turn, thanked Konstantin Shulgan for his trust and addressed to the attendees:
– Beltelecom is not only the largest telecommunications company in Belarus, but also one of the leading telecom operators in Europe. The team has high potential, and I am confident that the well-coordinated work of the team will allow us not only to maintain leadership, but also to increase the efficiency, authority and image of the company.
Among the main priorities of work, Aleksei Ivashkin named the provision of services at a new level of quality, which, in his opinion, will have a positive impact on the perception of the Beltelecom brand and will allow us to become closer to the consumer.
The General Director also connects the Company’s prospects with the development of cellular communications: “It is important to focus on implementing the license issued by the Ministry of Communications and Information and to make a name for ourselves in the mobile communications market.” At the same time, the company shall invest in new technologies to remain at the forefront of innovation, develop talent and promote employee welfare.
Aleksei Ivashkin was born in Minsk in 1982. Before the appointment as General Director of RUE Beltelecom, he headed the Republican Unitary Enterprise for Supervision of Telecommunications BelGIE.
In 2001 graduated from the Higher Telecom College, in 2004 from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, in 2012 from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus.
