On June 4–5, representatives of RUE Beltelecom participated in events of the Regional Commonwealth in the fields of Communications in St. Petersburg. The Director General Aliaksandr Kenda led the company’s delegation.
On June 4, the 01st/49th joint meeting of the RCC Commission on Telecommunications Regulation (RCC Commission on TR) and the RCC Telecommunications and Infocommunication Operators Board (RCC TIOB) took place. Aliaksandr Kenda, Chairman of the RCC TIOB and the Director General of Beltelecom, addressed the participants:
– Today we will discuss key issues in the development of the telecommunications industry in our countries. The agenda includes current topics related to combating fraud on telecommunications networks, developing national roaming tariffs, implementing advanced technologies, as well as developing infrastructure, AI, data centers, and more. These areas determine the future of the industry and require the consolidated efforts of all market participants.

- Roaming tariffs for communication services
- Cross‑border infrastructure projects
- Development of AI and data centers
- Prospects for 5G and 6G deployment in the countries of the region
- Production of telecommunications equipment

The meeting traditionally became a platform for exchanging experiences and developing joint solutions for the development of the telecommunications industry in the region.
On June 5, the 65th/32nd meeting of the RCC Board of Heads of Communications Administrations (Board of the RCC CAs Heads) and the CIS Coordination Council for Informatization under the RCC (the CIS Coordination Council) was held under the chairmanship of Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The delegation of the Belarusian Communications Administration was led by Kirill Zalessky, Minister of Communications and Informatization.

Development of non‑geostationary orbit communication systems (NGSO)
Establishment of the Regional Fund for the Development of the RCC Sovereign Digital Space

Development of IT parks and startups in the region
Application of artificial intelligence (AI) and creation of a regional expert council on AI.
Particular attention was paid to issues of digitalization and technological development in the region. Participants discussed initiatives to strengthen cooperation in the fields of communications and information technologies and approved a number of significant documents.
The next joint meeting is scheduled to be held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in September 2026.
The Regional Commonwealth in the fields of Communications was established on December 17, 1991, in Moscow by the Communications Administrations of 11 countries with the aim of cooperating and implementing coordinated actions among these states in the field of electric and postal communications. The RCC is an international organization with the functions of the CIS interstate coordinating body in the field of electric and postal communications. It has the observer status in the International Telecommunication Union and the Universal Postal Union, and also interacts with other international and regional organizations. The supreme bodies of the RCC are the Council of Heads of RCC Communications Administrations and the Coordination Council of the CIS Member States on Informatization under the RCC.
