The Minsk branch of Beltelecom and the Zhodino City Executive Committee entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation.
On June 7, the document was signed by Vladimir Shinkarevich, director of the Minsk branch of RUE Beltelecom, and Dmitry Zablotsky, chairman of the Zhodino City Executive Committee.
The city of Zhodino will be one of the first in the republic where “smart stops” will appear. This will significantly improve the comfort, convenience and safety of local residents. Modern stops on the main routes of the city will be equipped with free Wi-Fi, a touchscreen information display that will allow citizens to study the transport schedule, and also use the “My City” application. A “Video surveillance” camera will monitor security.
For the first time, Beltelecom presented the concept of a “smart stop” at the TIBO-2023 exhibition. It is pleasant to note that just a year later the idea received its practical implementation.
Beltelecom and the Zhodino City Executive Committee have had many years of effective cooperation. In 2022, Zhodino became the first city in the Minsk region, which appeared in the mobile application "My City (Belarus)".
The parties expressed confidence that the concluded memorandum will give new impetus to joint work in the field of innovation. Interaction within the framework of the document will be aimed at the implementation and development of “smart city” technologies, support and joint implementation of innovative projects in various sectors of the economy - education, healthcare, agriculture, industry and transport, housing and public utilities, culture and tourism.
