On November 11, a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the 10th republican competition in the field of energy efficiency, resource saving and environmental friendliness "Leader of energy efficiency of the Republic of Belarus-2024" took place in Minsk. The anniversary competition is devoted by the Year of Quality, its task is to promote energy efficient projects and solutions that contribute to reducing the consumption of fuel and energy resources.
Among 68 winners representing various branches of the economy, Beltelecom became the leader in the nomination "Project of the year for the use of electric energy to increase the efficiency of the energy system of the Republic of Belarus".
Gennady Melnikov, the first Deputy Director General of RUE Beltelecom was presented with an honorable diploma, confirming the company's high achievements in the field of energy saving.
"The victory in the competition reflects the success of Beltelecom not only in the telecommunications market, but also in the field of innovations and promising technologies in general. Our team is proud of such a high award!" noted Gennady Melnikov. "Beltelecom is betting on energy efficiency and ecological technologies. Evika electric charging station project! – a vivid example of how we implemented these directions in practice!"
In 2022, Beltelecom presented the first electric charging station under its own Evika brand! Thanks to large-scale modernization, the company reduced the energy consumption of its equipment, and began to use the freed energy to install charging stations.
Today, the demand for electric cars, and accordingly for the infrastructure for charging electric cars, is constantly growing. By the end of 2024, the number of EVs Evika! it is planned to increase to 200 throughout the republic.
