On September 9-13, events under the auspices of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) will be held in Brest: the 26th meeting of the RCC Commission for the Regulation of the Usage of the Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbits and its working bodies.
The business program brought together more than 100 experts who will work in person and online formats. The Director General of RUE Beltelecom Alexey Ivashkin is participating in this meeting.
On September 9, the meeting was opened by the Chairman of the RCC Commission for the Regulation of the Usage of the Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbits Valery Butenko. The General Director of the RCC Executive Committee Alexey Borodin and the Director of the state enterprise “BelGIE” Sergey Borovsky addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, the head of Beltelecom, Alexey Ivashkin, expressed confidence that “the meeting will be held in a businesslike, constructive atmosphere, and all decisions taken will be in the common interests and the achievement of the main goal of the Commission, which is to ensure the effective and proper use of the radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits in the interests of all users of the RCC member countries.”
The resolutions of the the RCC Commission for the Regulation of the Usage of the Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbits are of great importance for RUE Beltelecom. Efficient use of radio frequency resources allows the company to provide traditional services, such as digital terrestrial television, and also to develop innovative areas - “smart home”, “smart city” and others. In addition, the Commission’s resolutions play a significant role in creating conditions for the further development of digital technologies and the launch of new, promising services.
The work programme of the 26th meeting of the RCC Commission for the Regulation of the Usage of the Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbit is intense and includes 17 agenda items, as well as a round table, during where the experience will be exchanged on regulating the use of the radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits. At the meetings, participants will consider a wide range of issues related to preparation for the most important international events, analyze reports from specialized working groups, draw up a schedule of meetings of the RCC Commission for the Regulation of the Usage of the Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbit and its working bodies for the period up to 2027, will discuss other current topics.
