International cooperation

In its business with international organizations, telecommunications operators and carriers, RUE Beltelecom is guided with the principles of partnership and mutually beneficial collaboration.

The key strategy of Beltelecom in its international business is to pursue a uniform foreign economic policy, implement a complex of actions aimed to organization and development of its international business, mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign countries, create favorable conditions for implementation of advanced telecommunication technologies and services,and produce a positive image of the enterprise.

International business of Beltelecom is carried out along the following lines:

  • cooperation with international telecommunication organizations
  • participation in international telecommunication projects
  • bilateral cooperation with foreign operators and carriers, as well as manufacturers of telecommunication equipment.
     

Beltelecom has been actively cooperating with international organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications (RCC), European Network Planning Meeting (ENPM), European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT), INTERSPUTNIK International Organization of Space Communications  and others.

By Resolution of the Council of Ministers No.48 of April 4, 2003 Beltelecom was authorized to act as Intersputnik Signatory from the Republic of Belarus and sign an Operating Agreement. The Agreement was signed on 17 July 2003. Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications currently unites 26 countries.

Beltelecom has been taking part in international projects such as TEL/TET, TAE and ITUR.

Within the framework of the international projects TEL and ТАЕ implementation RUE Beltelecom has built the backbone fiber-optic communication line in the following segments of the network: Minsk – Vitebsk – Verkhnedvinsk – state border of Latvia; Minsk – Oshmyany – state border of Lithuania; Minsk – Slonim – Brest –  state border of Poland; Minsk – Gomel – state border of Ukraine, as well as has connection via FOL with neighboring countries of Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine.

RUE Beltelecom places a high value on improvement and development of telecommunications sector and response to the demand for telecommunication services, introduction of advanced technologies, pooling intellectual and production resources, exchange of experience and information. That is why Beltelecom maintains bilateral business ties with the leading operators and carriers abroad on a contract basis.
RUE Beltelecom cooperates with foreign telecommunication operators for the provision of telecommunication services. Currently bilateral relations have been established with more than 60 operators around the world.
