Digital safety of children and adolescents: Beltelecom participated in BELTA press conference

On May 28, the BELTA press center hosted an expert meeting dedicated to the safety of children and adolescents in the digital space. Participants discussed the issues of countering cyber threats and creating a comfortable online environment for the younger generation.

With International Children’s Day and summer holidays ahead, the topic of digital safety is especially relevant, as schoolchildren have more free time, which they often spend online. But while the digital world offers endless opportunities for learning and development, it also poses certain risks.

“Digital literacy is an integral part of modern culture today,” Olga Sudanova, Head of Strategic Marketing at Beltelecom, noted during her presentation. “Beltelecom offers accessible solutions that will help parents make their children’s online experience more conscious and secure.”

To meet these challenges, the company is developing a range of convenient services. Parental control for mobile devices allows you to monitor your children’s digital presence and location, block inappropriate content, and limit screen time. Safe Internet, enabled by PRO32 and Kaspersky products, protects devices from malware and phishing. Video surveillance allows you to monitor your children remotely using a user-friendly app.

A comprehensive system of measures to ensure the safety of minors in the digital space has been developed in Belarus. The Ministry of Education coordinates this work, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs focuses on crime prevention. The Ministry of Communications and Informatization oversees the technical aspects of the issue.

Representatives from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Internal Affairs also spoke at the press conference about safety rules in the digital space, countering threats, and creating a comfortable online environment.
