The XXIX Belarusian Literature Day is held in the homeland of the classic of Belarusian literature Ivan Shamiakin – On September 3, it is planned to open a monument to the famous writer, screenwriter and playwright, a native of the Dobrush region. In 2022, the concept of the holiday includes the main themes: the Year of Historical Memory, the historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of the Dobrush region, the anniversaries of the classics of Belarusian literature Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas and Maxim Bogdanovich. The program also includes a book and press festival, exhibitions and presentations of new publications, literary houses, etc.

Traditionally, the Belarusian Literature Day is held in cities that are historical centers of culture, science, literature and book printing. The holiday is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of September. In 2022, it will be held for the 29th time.
