Wi-Fi Access Methods

For wireless Internet access using Wi-Fi technology, you need to:

  • have a device supporting Wi-Fi;
  • be in the coverage area of the hot-spot "BELTELECOM" or "byfly Wi-Fi";
  • use the access method most convenient for you.

Self-service (authorization) web-portal

If you need to get Internet access credentials, or to log in using the previously acquired credentials, you can use the self-service (authorization) web-portal on the Wi-Fi network of RUE Beltelecom. To do this, you need to:

Via the web-portal one can purchase login credentials received to a mobile phone number paying with a bank card.

How the Web-Portal Works

When authorizing in the public BELTELECOM network, once you have entered any address in the web browser, the main page of the self-service (authorization) web-portal opens. After entering your mobile phone number and choosing the desired access time, it is necessary to fill out a form with bank card details for payment*. Once you have made the payment, an SMS message with a login and password for authorization, as well as a link for authorization, will be received to the mobile phone number.

*When selecting the payment with a bank card, the payment processing (including a bank card number entry) is made by Electronic Payment Company "ASSIST" LLC by means of the software-hardware complex of the e-payment system ASSIST, which has passed international certification. The payment security system uses special technical measures to transfer confidential information from the client to the server.

When interacting with the web-portal, subscriber devices based on Windows, Linux, Mac OS, as well as mobile devices based on Android, iOS, Windows Phone operating systems can be used. Each of the systems must run one of the browsers: Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Chrome.

To work with the self-service (authorization) web-portal of the Wi-Fi network, the device must be within the Wi-Fi network access zone.

Wi-Fi Access Cards

You can purchase a byfly Wi-Fi card at points of sale.

Byfly Wi-Fi cards are available in various values and types of access:

time-based access : 60 minutes, 180 minutes, 600 minutes;

daily access: for 1 day, 3 days, 5 days.

In order to use the card, you must carefully remove the protective cover and enter the user details in the authorization window. If necessary, you can use the WiFi Connection Instruction for desktop or lap-top computers for setting up Wi-Fi Internet access.

Please note that if the user details (login and password) are entered incorrectly three times, the details are blocked for 10 minutes. After this time, you can try to access the network again.

Byfly Wi-Fi cards (time-based and daily) are not replenishable. That is, in order to continue working after you have used up the card value, you need to purchase another one.

If you want to use the same access details, the Top-up Wi-Fi card will suit you.

Top-up Wi-Fi Card is a subscription-free tariff plan providing the opportunity to replenish the account and use the service when it is convenient. The balance of funds does not expire. The card is topped up as needed for any amount. You can connect to the tariff plan at Beltelecom service centers.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: When using Wi-Fi Internet access, it must be remembered that an access speed is not guaranteed, and may vary depending on the number of concurrent users at the access point. Therefore, if the connection was established at a speed insufficient for comfortable work, it means that there are too many users at the access point at the moment. In this case, as well as when the connection attempt failed, we recommend the session to be aborted and re-established in 15-20 minutes.

Wi-Fi Internet access cards can be purchased upon presentation of an identity document (passport, permit for residence in the Republic of Belarus, refugee certificate). Sale of cards and registration of cards' buyers are carried out in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 60 of 01.02.2010 "On Measures to Improve the Use of the National Segment of the Internet"

The telephone number of the round-the-clock technical support on the service operation is 123.
